Adding Custom Fonts to Figma
Here are the instructions from Figma but at the time I couldn’t find anything that explained how to upload a downloaded font. As a Mac user, this is the approach that worked for me:
- If using Figma in the browser, download the font installer
- Download your font to your local machine in .ttf or .otf format
- Open the Font Book app which is a native app on MacOS
- Drag and drop the font files into Font Book
- Refresh the webpage in Figma
- When you click a textbox, and click on the font name to open the font selector, you will see an option “Installed by you”.
- Your fonts will be listed there!
